We welcome Stephan Dombaj to the Fortis collective. Pro Team Loop Member, Photographer and Globetrotter – Stephan is a selfmade man, who is one of the few to call their passion a profession. Ever since he started to swing a flyrod “back in the day”, dreams emerged, of travelling the world, of catching the biggest and strongest fish out there. Today, Stephan has crossed quite a few off that bucket list. So far his destinations cover Korea, Russia, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Argentina, Iceland, Canada, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden, Croatia, Bosnia, Austria, Denmark and more, giving Stephan his reputation as a highly recommended and knowledgeable sportfishing ambassador in Central Europe. Furthermore he has collected 5 seasons of experience as a guide for Searun & Resident Browntrout in the Las Buitreras Lodge in Southern Patagonia, Argentina, where he served as lodgemanager in 2011/12, being the youngest in Gallegos history. His extensive knowledge about both the practical and the theoretical aspects of fly fishing make him an irreplaceable member of the team.

The wide range of species and his professional approach towards fishing have no space left for substandard missions. By creating “The Fly Fishing Nation” in 2006 and the beta version in 2010 he has taken this priority to a new level and found a network of young and ambitious flyfishers to represent their passion in modern media.

Countless international clients, magazines, graphical applications, expositions and demonstrations underline his reputation as a flyfisher, caster and photographer.
