Fortis was built around a simple idea: helping anglers See Deeper. What started as a mission to develop better polarised fishing sunglasses quickly evolved into something bigger. The more time we spent on the bank, the more obvious it became that much of the clothing, footwear and equipment available to anglers simply wasn't designed around the realities of modern carp fishing. So we started building our own.

Why we build what we build

Our first products focused on optics and watercraft. By reducing surface glare and improving visibility beneath the water's surface, Fortis sunglasses helped anglers spot fish, identify features and make better decisions. That philosophy remains at the heart of everything we do today.

As the brand evolved, we applied the same problem-solving mindset to other challenges anglers face throughout the year. Staying dry during relentless rain. Staying warm through long winter nights. Observing more water. Every new category was developed to solve a genuine problem encountered during real fishing sessions.
